Meet Cassie Smith
Cassie Smith has had the privilege of working with a wide range of individuals, adolescents, and couples throughout her work as a therapist. She is especially drawn to working with clients who are beginning to clarify what they hope to gain from the therapeutic process. Whether you are experiencing relationship anxiety, navigating depression in daily life, or feeling stuck in recurring interpersonal patterns, Cassie believes that having a shared sense of focus allows therapy to be both meaningful and transformative. Traumatic experiences can shape how we respond to the world in ways that leave us feeling disconnected or ungrounded; her goal is to help clients find their footing again with compassion, clarity, and resilience.
Cassie approaches therapy through an integrative lens, drawing primarily from Schema Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Internal Family Systems (IFS). Together with clients, she works to uncover early relational patterns shaped by unmet emotional needs, explore how these patterns show up in the present, and gently release what no longer serves them. Her style is collaborative, insight-oriented, and grounded in helping clients build healthier relationships with themselves and others.
Beyond the Therapy Room
Continued growth and self-reflection are core values for Cassie, both personally and professionally. She actively seeks opportunities to deepen her understanding of trauma-informed care and to serve her community in thoughtful, meaningful ways. Outside of sessions, Cassie practices what she encourages in therapy—nurturing connection and balance through time with loved ones, hiking, cooking, and weightlifting, all of which support her own well-being and resilience.
Cassie is a Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist, practicing under the supervision of Dr. Tracy Wutzke. She earned her Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Massachusetts.
